How I Learned How to Become a Travel Agent and Fell in Love With It…
Travel has always been a big part of my life. I spent my twenties living and working abroad, combining adventure with opportunity. From joining the Sailors with Disabilities race crew and hosting sailing days along Australia’s East Coast, to becoming Head Ski Host in the busy winter seasons of St Anton, I was fortunate to travel the world and make it my livelihood.
Now, life looks a little different. I’m settled in the Cambridge countryside with my husband and two children, and alongside running my own successful events business, I discovered something that reignited my passion for travel becoming an independent travel agent.
Learning how to become a travel agent gave me the flexibility to work from home, set my own hours, and sell luxury holidays with full support and training. If you’re wondering how to start a travel business that fits around your lifestyle and plays to your strengths, I genuinely believe this is one of the most exciting options out there.
What hasn’t left me is my wanderlust, my love of travel and adventure. When I discovered how to become a travel agent through this programme, it felt like a no-brainer. Not only could I book incredible holidays for others, I could now travel more often with my family, and for less.…
Travel has such a positive impact on our lives, and learning how to become a travel agent gave me a way to share that joy with others while building something meaningful for myself.
Why I Joined…
Travel more
These days, travel is mostly about holidays and excursions with my husband and our twins. I still want to discover new places, introduce my children to different cultures, and share the thrill of adventure. I just prefer it in a more organised way, with a clear itinerary and all the facilities we need in place.
Learning how to become a travel agent gave me the tools to plan these kinds of experiences for others as well, helping families enjoy adventure, comfort and connection in one unforgettable trip.
Extra income stream
Since learning how to become a travel agent, travel has taken on a whole new meaning for me. I now earn commission on every holiday I book for my own family, which makes our adventures even more rewarding. What surprised me was how quickly it turned into something bigger. I now regularly book trips for friends, relatives and others who trust my advice and enjoy the holidays I help them plan.
It’s a rewarding way to earn extra income through something I already love, and it fits easily around my other commitments.
Flexible lifestyle
It has given me the opportunity to create an extra income stream at a time when adaptability really matters. With two young children at home, finding something that fits around family life was essential. Being able to build a supplementary business that I can run remotely and on my own terms has been invaluable. I don’t need to commute or stick to rigid hours, and I can grow it at a pace that works for me.
What I love most is that I’m learning something new, developing real skills and doing it all in a way that supports both my family and my own goals.
How I work flexibility around my family commitments…
There’s no pressure and no targets to meet, which means I can shape the workload around my lifestyle. During term time, I might focus more on destination training, planning holidays for clients or catching up with members of my team in person. When the school holidays come around, I simply ease off. I can manage bookings from my phone, work while travelling, and focus on making those all-important memories with my family.
This kind of freedom is one of the things I value most about working as a travel agent. It gives me the chance to grow a business that fits into my life, not the other way around.
Hear from my customers
Jen booked us a brilliant all-inclusive at a super family friendly resort in Greece. I highly recommend Jen if you want an easy, efficient and friendly travel agent to source you a great holiday.
We were told by the resort on arrival that all the restaurants were fully booked until October. Shouldn’t have worried – Jen at Super-Lux Travel to the rescue! Three lovely restaurants all booked up and what a lovely time we had.
Hurrah for Jen at Super-Lux Travel. Please use her for your next holiday booking! You don’t get service like this from a faceless corporation.
